Some members of the US Congress have taken a food stamp challenge, living on food stamps for a week in order to raise awareness about just how difficult it is to eat adequately and healthy on food stamps. The minimum food stamp is only $10 per month, a number that hasn’t changed since the ’70’s. The Congress members agreed to live on the average daily food stamp allowance, which is just $3 a day! Read about their experiences at this blog web site and discover just how difficult it is to live with such a small amount of money for food.
