The DEMISE of FOREIGN CORRESPONDENTS

So much for wanting to be a foreign correspondent. Former Boston Globe foreign correspondent Pamela Constable writes about the reasons the U.S. needs journalists stationed abroad to cover foreign news. With declining readership, most newspapers have gotten rid of most or all of their overseas bureaus. Constable’s writing is excellent, and her argument that the U.S. needs more foreign news is persuasive.
